    (국문 설명) ~와 화합하다, 조화를 이루다

    → (예문)  My business partner and I are in sync and have had great success together.

 

2. connect (with someone) - to have a positive or meaningful experience with someone

    (국문 설명) (~와) 친해지다, 가까워지다, 잘 지내다

    → (예문) I've never seen anyone connect with everyone in an entire room before I met Kirsten.

 

3. account for something - to explain something

    (국문 설명) 계산대에서 없어진 100달러에 대해 설명할 수 있나요?

    → (예문) Can you account for the $100 that's missing from the cash register?

1. 저는 아내와 아주 잘 맞아서 우리는 행복한 30년 세월을 함께 보내 왔습니다. (be in sync with someone/something)

쫑쫑의 영작: Me and my wife are in sync with each other so we have spent a happy 30-year-time together.

Correction: I'm very in sync with my wife, which is why we've been together for 30 happy years.

 

2. 비록 척과 나는 학창 시절 때 사이가 안 좋았지만, 우리는 몇 년 후에 만났을 때 친하게 지냈다. (connect (with someone))

쫑쫑의 영작: Although I didn't have a good relationship with Chuck in school, we have connected with each other several months later.

Correction: Even though we didn't get along at school, Chuck and I connected when we met years later.

 

3. 주지사는 자신의 주에서 증가하는 범죄율에 대해 설명할 수 없었다. (account for something)

쫑쫑의 영작: The 주지사 couldn't account for the increasing crime rate in his state.

Correction: The governor couldn't account for the rising crime rates in his state.
